Pro tips
Go for originality by mixing formats or by printing a visual on several rollups. When placed side by side on your stand, you’ll have a veritable visual wall featuring your brand.
But what’s the difference
between a roll-up display, a totem and a kakemono?
Although the term “kakemono” is now used to describe a portable, self-carrying, itinerant communication tool, it was originally a Francized word derived from the Japanese word “kakejiku”, meaning “a painting” or “calligraphy” on silk or rolled paper, intended to be hung on walls or poles.
Today, the kakemono exists in a “totem” version with a pole at the back which, once stretched and bent, holds it fixed to the ground, and also in a “roll-up” version with the image protected in an unrolling structure. Other terms include “roll-up“, “banner roll-up” and “kakemono roll-up“.
